Valentine’s Day has always been one of my favorite holidays. Thanks to my Dad. Every year a “secret admirer” would leave balloons and stuffed animals and boxes of chocolates on my front doors step. Too bad my cute Dad’s handwriting always gave him away 🙂 and it always meant so much to me! I know that if he were still around there would be a porch full of presents for all my boys.
I’m so glad that I get to carry on my Dad’s traditions. I love having a day dedicated to showing others how much you love them. It’s a day to celebrate love! To a parent, a sibling, a spouse, child, or friend. Love is so powerful and it is the best part of life. I really do love this day.
We blew up about a million balloons to have the kids wake up to. I always wake up early so I can catch their faces on film… but today Knox decided to wake up earlier than he’s ever waken up before! So his presents, candy, and surprised face were all over by the time we woke up! The boys played in the balloons all day and it was so much fun to watch.
We had such a fun day playing together and telling each other how much we love one another. I hope everyone had a happy Valentine’s Day!
