I’ve always been a sucker for stuffed animals. When Ryan and I got married we had to move all of my stuff into our apartment. There were like ten.. TEN.. huge boxes that Ryan carried into our new place. As he was carrying them he was confused as to how these ginormous boxes were so weirdly light. He decided to open them and about died when he realized that his new wifey saved every one of her stuffed animals since she was a child.. small and large!! I know it’s weird but they are my thing!
It has been so fun to watch Knox carry on my love for stuffed animals. Although it’s not nearly as obsessive as I was! But his favorite little guy is Benedict the Bunny. Isn’t he just the cutest! Knox sleeps with him every night. He holds onto one of his long ears and sucks his thumb while he rubs the soft fabric on his lips. Oh my heart.
But Benedict is actually more than just a little stuffed animal bunny. He is in fact 10 meals to a hungry child. Cuddle + Kind is a an amazing company that is on a mission to feed children in need. For every 1 doll purchased, 10 meals are given to hungry children around the world. I am teary eyed right now thinking about all the hungry kids there are in the world. My mind immediately goes to my sweet little boys. Their sweet faces looking at me saying, “I’m hungry Mom”. What if I couldn’t feed them? What if I didn’t have the means to take care of them? I can’t think of anything more heart breaking. I have been so blessed and I think it is SO important to give back.. Where much is given, much is required.
I am so glad that Knox loves Benedict so much. He is a sweet little companion, but also a saving grace to another sweet child. He is a constant reminder to do better. BE better. With the Christmas season just around the corner, I want to make giving the center of my family’s focus. Cuddle + Kind has a goal of providing 1 million meals a year. WOW. Thank you Cuddle + Kind for making the world a better place! Your dolls are definitely at the top of my Christmas list!
